In the late 1980's, the cable company needed more space and did a remodel. TV-2's studio shrunk and moved, while the control room was built onto the back of the building. This would be the last layout of the station as part of the Cable Company. On the purchase of the cable system by Time Warner in about 1997, they pulled the plug on local origination and leased the channel which ultimately moved from channel 2 to about 1003.
